Other Atlantic City icons and landmarks synonymous with that decade are highlighted, including the first Miss America, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Mayor Edward L. Bader and various Boardwalk scenes.
The Atlantic City Free Public Library, which is a service of the City of Atlantic City, assumed management of the Atlantic City Historical Museum in August 2012. The museum, located on Garden Pier at New Jersey Avenue and the Boardwalk, showcases the culturally diverse and exciting history of Atlantic City in a nostalgic timeline. |
The Atlantic City Experience was produced and is managed by The Atlantic City Free Public Library, a service of the City of Atlantic City.




The same week that HBO kicked off its third season of the hit series “Boardwalk Empire,” the Atlantic City Historical Museum – presented by the Atlantic City Free Public Library – unveiled an exhibit dedicated to that era in city history.
